county, you're getting heavier showers up and down 101 for the third time. south of santa rosa. youngville getting heavy rain and up toward clear lake getting heavy rain. daly city, san francisco out toward the airport. richland, oakland, hayward out to san san san ramon and danville. when you wake up on sunday morning it will be windy with urban and street flooding likely. let's take about how much rain you're looking for. at least an inch and a half to 2 inches of rain. that's most of the bay area. that's why the napa river and flood river are under flood warnings with a flash flood for the north bay and the coast and the mountains where we have a wind advisory because tonight with the rain it's going to be windy. win gusts 30 to 35 miles per hour. there's high deaf doppler. the rain is here and it's going to be with us for a while. we'll talk about when the mess will finally move o out and have your full extended forecast in a few minutes. >>> as paul mentioned a flood warning has been issued for the napa river. it's expected above flood levels and cbs5 don knapp is in napa

our shows you where the rain as located just north of santa rosa. we have maybe a half inch of rain on the way for the bay area. i have full details on what to expect and when exactly you need your umbrella coming up in my next report. >> we are taking a look at the peninsula on the 1 01 and northbound direction where at holly street in san carlos we have received word that there is a large pot hole and the roadway that may be affecting the traffic. it was reported on the northbound side of highway 1 01. we are seen some slow traffic around 90 to enter change but that itself is not a problem. it is typical see some slowing there. there is a report that there may be a large pot hole that has ashley flatten some tires on the vehicles northbound. this could be a hot spot for the northbound commute. >> if he is muni metro, all of the trains should be running. there was a power outage that knocked out all the underground train service last night during the evening commute. it was a blown transformer near the van ness and then station. good news to hear things are up and running for this mor

just went through and wrapped up. oakland right now, 55. cloudy. san francisco cloudy. santa rosa, 53. we've got a few light showers offshore. a couple very light showers moving through sonoma and also through the peninsula. then we'll see the slightest chance of a shower north of the golden gate overnight tonight. overnight lows, upper 40s. 48 for fremont, oakland at 51. san francisco at 53. two differences between this storm and the previous three. first off, the atmosphere is not as juicy. the tropical moisture is not there. yes, a front, but not a front producing heavy rainfall. the second change, we have an area of high pressure building to the south, taking the storm track and shoving it just far enough to the north that any moderate to heavy rainfall that does fall will fall not over the bay area, but instead about three to four hours to the north. so the storm check has been bumped up to the north. yes we're going to have a front and a rainfall beginning tomorrow evening. but no, no flooding will be involved. heavy rainfall will stay away from the bay area. so showers are

established back in 1976. look at santa rosa, 14 degrees above average, 67 in san jose. this is the embarcardero, lot of clear skies. tomorrow we'll have the offshore flow continuing. tonight right now 40s and 50s across the board dipping down between the 30s and mid-40s across the central bay, 43 in mountain view and los altos and woodside. otherwise, sure, we have rain right now banging up against the pacific northwest trying to make tracks in the easterly direction towards billings, montana. that storm track has been diverted by this huge dome of high pressure contributing to an offshore flow, so everybody is under the abundance of sunshine, but watch carefully. futurecast tomorrow morning dense fog throughout the central valley and then watch what happens. nothing. the offshore flow continues through tuesday, but wait. here it comes. this is an area of low pressure providing us with rain showers overnight tuesday night, a very wet sloppy wednesday morning commute. you'll need that umbrella, on again off again throughout your wednesday and wait till you see that seven-day forecas

tracking storms, take a look at the storm total wtz last three storms. santa rosa 16 inches of rain. and san jose, just under two and a half inches of rain. it pushed our rainfall percent of normal way up. santa rosa, 178%. san francisco, 106. in san francisco, well above average. i'll be back to let you know when the next storm is coming. it's going to be weaker, we'll talk about how much rain it will bring in just minutes. >> napa is get remove from serious flooding it's endured 24 major floods. they're undergoing a flood prevention project. the project uses bypasses to control the flof water. the area was under flood warning but napa never saw a river or creek water touch the streets. >> it can be dramatic and fast. it could create damage. >> instead of cleaning froors... we're getting packages ready to be ship i'd would venture to say it's saved cost in this flood. >> according to the plant the project should be completed but the funding trickles in every year from the federal government. so it's still years away from being finished. >> i'm sure one of the things we appreciate a

mid-to up er 50s across much of the bay area. especially after a cold start. santa rosa, novato, overnight lows of 33 degrees. going to be a little warmer overnight tonight. we'll look at those numbers in a moment. a nice shot from the watermark camera. looking at the bay bridge, have a safe downive your out and about. live doppler 7hd telling you, you will have some dry pavement, dry roads out there, although we have been noticing these high clouds drifting over the bay area. in fact this is what helped to cap those temperatures across most of the region in the mid-to up er 50s today. so would cooler than anticipated but we'll start to gradually warm ups and monday. santa rosa did manage 63 degrees. compared to san rafael, 55. 59 in san francisco. 65 in oakland. 57 only in antioch. 60 in livermore, and san jose, 62. currently napa, the 40s. 47 right now. san francisco, 54. 57 in oakland. and 53 in livermore. 55 right now with some high clouds passing overhead in san jose. we'll go with patchy dense fog in some of the protected valley areas overnight. get ready for warmer days t

. over 2 inches in santa rosa. three inches in mounted st. helena. san francisco inch and a half and lesser amounts as you head towards the santa clara valley. let's take a look at the five day storm totals. three storms moved in here. you can see mount st. helena, close to 13 inches. santa rosa, close to 8 inches as well as san rafael. san francisco close to 4 inches. oakland close to 4 inches and san jose racked up close to 2 1/2 inches. as you mentioned, another system is headed for the bay area, not as strong. we'll take a look at the timing coming up. >> a scary situation in pescadero. fire crews had to rescue two drivers who's cars got caught on flooded highway 101. it caught maybe many people off guard due to the sudden rise of water. heavy rain is being blamed for an accident that injured four people. three of them are from the fire district. we do want to a warn you. some of the video may be intense for some viewers. >> you can hear the crunch of an out of control vehicle making impact followed by moments of confusion. then screams for help from firefighters kelly morse. she

near the santa rosa airport. according to those at the scene, a 70-year-old man was on top of a large mechanical lift when it toppled to the ground. he was taken by ambulance to santa rosa memorial hospital. no record on the extent of his injuries. >>> a group began to occupy a bank in san francisco. this is part of a national effort to mark the anniversary of "occupy our homes." brian flores is live to tell us what is happening right now. >> reporter: good afternoon. this is the one-year anniversary of the movement. what you are seeing behind me is a group of foreclosed or about to be foreclosed homeowners that decided to occupy this bank branch in bayview.
